EXIDE Pakistan Limited, was incorporated in 1953 as a private limited company in association with Chloride Group Plc of United Kingdom. Cholride had its associates in 35 countries of the world and was supported by chloride Techincal.

EXIDE ultimately got listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange in 1982 and received the top 25 Companies Award 8 times. Sound professional management was also recognized by the Management Association of Pakistan who awarded Corporate Excellence Award three times.

EXIDE is a brand name which is known in the sub-continent for over a century. EXIDE Pakistan serves its outlets in Pakistan through regional offices in Karachi, Sukkhur, Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Peshawar. These regional offices provide after sales service to all customers and are supported by a vast network of dealerships all over the country.

Industrial Batteries for Telecommunication, Railways, WAPDA and other stand-by applications are new and exclusive features of our business, and promote self-reliance and saving of foreign exchange.

The Company has qualified and competent management force most of whom have had foreign exposure and management and technical capabilities to handle the intericate and complex day to day problems.

The Company has good industrial relations and has had no strike or stopage of work for the past of 25 years. The production facilities are modern and quality assurance is taken care of by a well-trained staff supported by a well-equipped laboratory.

EXIDE has the largest share of the market because of its standing in the market, marketing  policy and trained staff.

The inclusion of Auomotive Battery Company Limited (F.B.) in the group makes it stronger, more reliable and stable.

With a view to diversify the business activities, EXIDE Pakistan Limited has setup a Sulphuric Acid manufacturing plant at Port Qasim Industrial Area. The plant has an installed capacity of 50 metric tons of Sulphuric Acid per day. The major production of the plant is supplied to Fauji Jordan Fertilizer Company Limited under a ten year buy back agreement with them. The surplus capacity is supplied to the open market for battery use.

EXIDE has the unique distinction of being the first battery manufacturer in Pakistan to be accorded ISO 9002 certificate in recognition of the quality control and management systems being followed by the company.
